In Her Shoes

These few days I have been busy changing my thesis and adding things into the introduction. However, so many distractions! I have to focus on the task ahead.
Last night I went to watch In Her Shoes with Fuzzy and her friend. Her friend had finished her last exam. All free! The movie was a good one. I didn't expect it to be so good.
My boss is retiring from work. His friends talked about the achievements and the funny stories about his past. How he saved the people from starting World War III in a small Belgium pub. He is a guy full of innovation and ideas. Good luck and have a nice time!
I will visit the new baby in the weekend as well. I will also attend the last practice for united youth orchestra tonight, then listen to my tutor's cello exam in Academy of Performing Arts. Looking forward to tonight's activities.
The weather is great. I took a walk after lunch.

Christmas cards

I bought two Christmas cards from Whitcoulls for my friends. Both of them are funny ones and I wish that they will enjoy them. Some of the cards come in boxes but they only have one or two designs, very boring, so I didn't buy those. One will be sent to MI, U.S.A, and the other one will go to Scotland. Suddenly I have remembered that I need another one. I will find one at home and write it to my friend in Taiwan. Have to send the cards away before Friday so it cost $1.00.
Finished watching The Way of Business. It was a really good Korean TV show. I liked the outdoor scenes, and the hardworking main character. He treated money as water, and act as a straight as a ruler. He was a good man.
Today my mentor is retiring from work. Wish that he will be very happy. There's going to be a send-away party. Everyone is organising it.

Transporter 2

It was Fuzzy's 20th birthday yesterday. Her friends came to visit her and sent her a hippo CD holder. It is very cute. We decided to catch the new movie Transporter 2 on the big screen together.
Frank Martin, a chauffeur who looked quite ordinary at first glance is a man with great skill in fighting and protecting the weak. This time he is transporting a kid from school. The boy is kidnapped by the bad guy and injected with a deadly virus. Fight scenes are great, and the bad girl is looking very cool.
I watched the second last disc of The Way of Business. The guy finally got together with the girl he loves. ^_^ He also became a government official. The bad businessman had a conspiracy and the guy is shipped off to the capital for interogation. Oh, no!
I have been writing and typing the introduction these few days. Not much else. I will run some experiments next week to finish everything up (hopefully). I thought I have finished but my boss wants me to do a little bit more. >_< Oh, I will do it.

Dumplin party

I went to White Angel's for a dumplin party last night. White Angel had completed her exams for the year. I took Fuzzy with me. We made dumplins together, each dumplin with its own style and Mrs. White Angel boiled them.
We played Eye Toy on Play Station. Air Guitar was a game where you imitate the game and the camera will detect your motion. I played "Secret Agent". You had to stay as still as possible and to catch some objects such as rope to aid your escape from a prison. There was also a Boxing match: Knockout.
We talked about what we are going to do in the summer. They would all be working on their various summer placements/jobs. Apart from saving money, they would obtain plenty of work experiences.
Today is Fuzzy's birthday. Happy Birthday, Fuzzy! Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Fuzzy......Happy birthday to you!

The World's Fastest Indian

I have been reading a book called The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. It is a book about Dracula and his history, and takes you to see the old cities across Europe trying to help find Professor Rossi and the narattor's father, Paul. One thing to note is that the narrator never tells us what her name is. I found that the writer wanted to develop the character without giving her a name in an interview.
I went to watch The World's Fastest Indian on Friday. It was a very moving and funny movie. It showed how a kiwi would go about doing something that other people doubt that he would be able to accomplish. It was really cool. Old man riding an old bike trying to break the speed record without protective equipment because he was short of money. Kiwi ingenuity through and through.
Still watching The Way of Business. It is getting very dramatic. One of the businessman's associate was a revolutionary. Even though his revolution failed, a lot of people died for his ideal.
The Chinese music and dance festival was very entertaining. I liked the calligraphy section where the artist and the writing master wrote eight different styles of the word dragon in Chinese. The steel fan dance was also impressive.
The next big thing is to prepare the Christmas cards to send away overseas. I will have to get my good pen out and put down some verses for my friends.
