Hooked on Star Wars

This is the official website of Star Wars. The first Star Wars movie was released about 30 years ago (28~29 years). I was not old enough to catch the hype then, but when I was young the trilogy was released together again to the big screen. I have watched Episode I, Episode II, and Episode III on the big screen with my friends and family.
May the force be with you.

Wars, love, and concert

Dad has been quite angry about me going to watch Star Wars Episode III, but he has been really nice when telling me off. I can't believe how good he feels. However, taking recent events into account I can understand why he feels so much better.
Mr. L's house has been rented out yesterday when dad and mum were mowing the lawn. Dad is very pleased. Dad is also wanting to apply for a new job in Tauranga. I will print him out some resume.
I am so glad that dad is cool about this thing. I should really treat him better. I've got a cool dad and I know it.
Star Wars Episode III is great. I will not tell you anything about the movie because don't want to bore you, and you can check it out in the cinema anyway. The war scenes are very well done, action-packed. The lines a bit sappy, but understandable between the love ones. The down fall to evil is fully explained in this episode.
I am looking forward to watching I-VI one day. A Star Wars extravaganza that will be.
Concert with the cellist and NZSO is very good as well. I have been exposed to great culture this week. Feeling very happy. Our CEO is leaving and we will have an afternoon tea with him.
Didn't go rock climbing last night. Hope everything is going ok. Missing E right now.

Climbing my heart

Work has been a drag, however, I am amazed about how much I have accomplished in one day. I have done two more repeats from last week. Go up to university to collect chemicals so I can make up Nonidet P-40, also known as ethylene glycol and Triton X-100.
Rock climbing has been so much fun, and because E is there and I love being with him. In my mind, even though we are not going out or anything, every minute that I spend with him is worth remembering. In years to come I may forget all the other things but I will not forget the good times that I spend with him and that is what counts. I really like him, but it is hard to tell him. I don't want to ruin everything, just takes things slowly, I guess.
I conquer one wall for the evening, and E has been climbing the wall beside me. I did yellow, red, and blue, and he did red, blue and white on the other face. They are not easy. He has also been doing Brazillian fight dance, which involves a lot standing on his head. We will go hiking in the holiday. Sounds like a lot of fun!
Watching J climbing up the wall is a treat, she is such a monkey! Very agile. I wish one day I will be half as good as her.
Fuzzy is having dinner with Tofushark to send her god-brother away. He is going back to Auckland to complete his medical degree. Good luck to him! Tofu texted and say she wants to say goodbye to S, but S is already home when I check the text. >_< Apparently he is going overseas. Good luck to S, too. He is a nice guy. Very tall and good at rock climbing.
It is very wet these days, and it is going to get wetter. Hope E doesn't hate me, maybe he likes me a little? I hope, and I think he knows. ^_^
Wish me luck!

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the clones

Our TV channel is generous to let us watch the two episodes before Episode III comes onto the big screen officially so we can refresh our memories of Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala. I feel that Hayden's acting skill is so good that teenage angst is exuding from his very pore. That frustration of being misunderstood by his master, that sadness of inability of changing the world being a Jedi, and that anger. That "Fear will turn into anger, anger will turn into hate" speech from Yoda has come full circle in Episode II when Anakin kills the villagers who had tortured his mother.
We also witness Padme's bravery and determination in using both diplomatic solutions and agressive negotiation. She is as strong as the fire and that's why Anakin is drawn to her. She is not afraid of dying, but afraid of not being able to love the one she love the most.
Hayden Christensen had done well these years. His performance in Life as a House is great, too. He understands the pain of being a teenager because he has been there, and his bashful smile and good looks certainly add to the acting ability. I wish that we will see more of him in other films because he has the potential to be greater.
It is not hard to understand why Anakin will turn in Darth Vadar. It is because he has strong emotion unsuitable for a Jedi. He is human. His fall to the Dark Side is inevitable because he wants to make the world a better place, but he is too young and naive to see that Dark Side will only bring chaos and destruction to the galatic. His final redemption comes from his son and his daughter. This again illustrates that love will make everything right. Darth Vadar wants power, but he can never kill his own son. His love for Padme, and subseqently to Luke and Leia, has pulled him from the Dark Side to the Bright Side. His quest to power will transform (has transformed) into quest to love.
We all know how this is going to end, let's wish that he will turn into a very evil Sith Lord in Episode III from Wednesday/Thursday 19 May 2005.

Do I really know what I am doing?

I don't know what I am doing. My life is filled with activities, but sometimes I feel that I am doing too much.
Watch The Hitchhiker's Guide to Galaxy. It's a great film nearly as good as Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain. They are both full of imagination, imagery, and love. That's why I love both movies. They are not blockbuster movies with beautiful men and women parading their bodies. They are movies with deeper meaning and makes you think. What if the planet is blown up? What if your way of life has been taken away from you? What is the most important thing in life? How would you answer the ultimate question of life and everything?
It has been raining, that's probably why I am not feeling so happy. I wish that I can help, but I can't always do that. Sometimes, it takes time for things to fall into places and rushing things just don't work. I will have to wait and see. Just like Turn left turn right. You will meet the right guy at the right moment at the right spot. You can't force someone to like you, to truly treasure you as he has no one else in this world.
Radio talks about The Other Women in his world. Good guide for all the girls and boys out there.
1. His ex-girlfriend.
This is not just any ex-girlfriend. This is the one that got away. This is the one that he had the best time with, best sex with. This one keeps popping up and if he says that she is innocent, then think again.
2. His manager.
He works with her 8 hrs a day. He is still at work 8 o'clock in the evening. You've got to think why he would stay there for so long.
3. His mum.
"This taste nice, but it is never like mum's trifle."
He loves his mum and can't get over her. Never competes with his mum because you are never good enough, or are you? Of course you are better than her but if he doesn't know it, then you are screwed.
4. His sister.
"I don't like her. She is nasty."
Sorry, sister, if his sister doesn't like you then you are finished.
5. His friend's girlfriend.
She is always there, she is always available. What more do I need to say? She is dangerous with a capital D.

I have counted the bacteria plates today. Will have to meet with supervisors again to present results and talk about what to do these few weeks. Wish everything pans out.

Am trying to collect Anakin Skywalker's outfit for Star Wars. Seems to me that dressing up as him is the easiest. However, I am not going as Darth Vadar. That's a bit too much, also more expensive with the voice changer. I will have to make a light saber out of a drink bottle (paint it silver), a light bulb connected to battery, and some blue cellophane paper. The problem is that I need to make a long thin tube to the cellophane paper can be stuck on. Think about it later, but I think I will be able to make my own light saber. Haha. Doesn't need to pay any money if it is DIY.
I have my own blue cape, brown boots, dark gloves, khaki pants, and needs to find green top and leather armor. However, it shouldn't be too hard to dress up as Anakin. ^_^
May the force be with me for a while so I can sort everything out.

Turn left turn right

This movie is actually called "Turn left turn right"

A man who lives on the left hand side of the building is a violinist. A woman who lives on the right hand side of the building is a translator/writer. They take a different route to work in a big city, where people never say hi on the street to each other.
The man and the woman both feel lonely and depressed in the big city because they have no one else. One day they meet in the park and talk extensively as if they are old friends all their life.
Fate intervene. Rain smudges their phone numbers so they can never contact each other after that day. They wait in the evening for the phone to ring, but it never rings.
They get on with their normal life. The woman celebrates her birthday by herself, with the guy playing violin in her honour, but they don't know they are neighbours.
They meet again in the New Year's party, and discover they are next door neighbours. ^_^ It's a story about a big city where people who doesn't care about other people, and feeling lonely while so many people are beside you. You feel lonelier when there are people surrounding you because they don't know you and don't care.

Dinner

Saturday always goes slowly in our house. Fuzzy has to work so she leaves before the sun comes up. Mum and dad buy vegetables in Frankton like always. We have a nice lunch together and dad keeps joking about us not eating fijus and vegetables. Watch a weird movie, and then we sleep in the afternoon.
We wake up around ten pass three. Fuzzy gets ready and we all get changed. Mum had made soya sauce dried bamboo and kumara porridge. We pick Mr. T up. She made fresh bread. Dad takes us in the big blue car.
We have a tour around our friend's house. They have a great garden and all the plants seem to be a miniature of our plants at home. The view is magnificent from their patio. You can see the sunrise and sunset in their house.
My friend showed me her make-up DIY book. It's very interesting. We also read Walking left, walking right. It is a great love story about two people who live in Taipei and one always take the left, the other take the right. Rain one day but their telephone number smudges them meet so they can't call each other. One-year pass and they still can't find each other. They meet again in the New Year's party. Finally they find out they are next-door neighbors.
We watch Misery, Stephen King's novel turned into movie in the evening. It's hilarious and scary, sadistic and sad. You never know how the story will end, but the writer escapes in the end, which is good.
It is very cold this morning. I have moved all my university notes into my room again because I want to find some information for my thesis. It turns out that I have a lot of information from my undergraduate note and lab books. I will have a field day writing and reading these materials.
Internet connection is again down. Don't know what is happening. Hopefully I will be able to get online again.
