Constructive discussion

Dad asked his friend, Motorjin, to write an email to us. He's well and will probably set up an e-mail account later to communicate with us. Mum wrote e-mail to our aunt saying that he's back in Taiwan.
I will ask dad to buy Traditional Chinese Dictionary that Richard can use, and also exercise books so he can practice writing Chinese words on them. I remember those exercise books, green ones for Chinese, pink ones with lines for phrases, and some have extra lines for symbols. Back in the days of my primary school, I used to practice writing Chinese on those everyday. I love them! I miss them sometimes.
I have also drawn up a list of Chinese books that we can read. I haven't read some of these, and they are all interesting novels, poems, historical novels, and storybooks. Richard can read children's books in the beginning, and graduate to storybooks for young adults, and books for adults. I think it will be great for him to read Chinese because there are so many stories that you can only understand in Chinese.
Mum, Fuzzy and I were talking after dinner last night with Richard. Fuzzy loved Richard's farm pictures, and he also showed her what his family looks like. We made jokes about the Chinese book because the book only show you how to pronounce the words and not the tones. When Richard sounded the phrases out, they sounded cryptic and funny most of the time. We have to mark the tones out so he can pronounce those words properly.
I discussed my view on investment and money with Richard last night. He thinks that we are on similar pages, but I still need to educate myself more. He also reckons that we should go to Europe this year or early next year, and I shouldn't change my plan because I have met him. Going to Europe has always been my dream and I think that it's so exciting because it may finally be happening some time soon. Yay! I am going to think about where I want to go now.
Work is going great. We have mixed results, but most of them are indicating that we are on the right track, and have actually found something quite interesting. That's probably the first time in my life that the results can be called "interesting" because it's completely new and meaningful to research science.
