Marathon of a different nature

These two days I have been doing two kinds of marathon. Whew...sweating, but they don't require too much energy. I may be mistaken. I still feel quite tired in the evening so maybe it does take up a lot of energy. Correction, then.
I have been writing e-mail non-stop to M for a day. And it was just non-sensible conversation sometimes. He is feeling sick from so much studying and keep walking to the fridge or cupboard to find food to eat. Then he feels that he has a headache and needs to lie down. Then he feels like that he has to play piano.
On my front, I am just bored from typing up and searching information for my master's thesis. So many things to read, but I have been told that I better find papers as my information source because electronic source gets altered or taken off the net frequently so it is not a good source of information. But the thing is that everything is on the internet right now. For example, fact sheets about mastitis is on the internet and it is not from a journal article. One information I found was a pet information page. It's not even academic!
Today I have finally manage to meet M in uni in the morning. However, before that I meet K in front of the library. I have not seen her for years. She is doing a sport and leisure postgraduate diploma. Well, she is looking good and is going to get married in 18 months. Cool! And is writing a book as well.
Then open up my thesis file when M comes into the Info Common in uni library. Haha. There's no way that I am going to do any work now, but then again it is Saturday so why should I do any work.
We start walking to the medical centre to hand in his medical cert for Thursday exam. Then he will have to see the doctor. So I just sit in the exam room with him because I know I will just be too bored outside.
The doctor didn't say much. Just say take a steamy bath or shower so the phlem in the lung can be clearer. It has to be warm and moist. OK.
No shop is open in uni in the weekend, so we start walking towards the bakery, but discover that it may take 1 hr to get there. Walking back to the car park, we manage to get there in 5 minutes. Buy two tarts and he has chips and a pie. Sit in the car talking about making VCD and watching movies. It's so funny because he thinks it will be such a pleasure to watch the movie on his TV. Yes he never ceases to amaze me.
Quick lunch after taking Fuzzy home. We practice music in T's house for at least 4 hr. That's the second marathon. Oh man. So tired after that. We played many songs. They will be photocopied next time. Cello, piano, flutes, and also played guitar and sang songs with guitar's accompaniment. It's good.
We will go to P's house to have hot pot next Saturday and come to T's house to practice music again. Great. I love music. T has the ultimate goal of having her own band. Wow. Everybody wants to be in a band but not all the people can achieve it. I guess that's life. She is doc, I am an enigeer, my friend is a scientist. We all want to be in a band and go on tours. Ha, that's the way to go. Guitarist, drummer, lead singer....etc. We are just a bunch of dreamers of good life.

Life is a bunch of problems

The experiment did not go so well. Some plates are contaminated with E.coli. Oh, no. However, I have still counted the countable drops and recorded them.
Editing the introduction at the moment. Reading and find out more information. Found an idea from a very old paper so I will write to supervisor about it. Maybe a way to improve the inhibition action of ozone.
Waiting for whole day for J's reply but he hasn't written back yet. Now am wondering whether I have asked the right guy or not because received M's letter. Back to reality that I don't know much about them. Do I really want to ask one of them out? Are they interested in me, or is it just my passing fancy? That is something to think about before getting the reply that I am waiting for, but the waiting is killing me. Just say yes or no so I can sleep better.
Petrol tank is nearly empty but forgot to ask for coupon. Will fill up the tank after work. The oil price is going up everyday. What is happening? I hope we still have some oil left. One of these days we will have to ride bicycles and buy electrical cars because the oil will run out, eventually.

Bruised finger

Busy whole day doing experiment so tomorrow will have some results. Hurt left index finger playing volleyball at work. By evening it has swollen up. Very painful. Right now is on ice.
S is going to Uraguay soon. Hope he will have a good life there. It is drier and warmer there. Actually sounds quite good.
Watch Joey and Lost. Alex is spying on her separated husband, but fall asleep when he and the cellist start to make out. Gina is breaking up with Glen and Michael bores him so much that Glen never wants to see Gina again. Joey wants to be in a serious relationship with Sarah and can't be with Heather or any other girl.
Kate's mother has cancer. She goes to the hospital to meet Tom, the man she loves the most and digs up the time capsule they buried in 1989. It is really sad to see Tom get shot in the police chase. Sun does not want Jin to leave the island on the raft so she poisons his water, but Michael drinks it and becomes ill. He suspects Sawyer, who told everyone about Kate's fugitive status. The hatch is still not opened, but Walt, the kid, does not want Locke to open it. What is behind the hatch? Next week the French woman comes out and tells everyone that they have to escape, or hide, otherwise they will die. What kind of beast will come out to hunt man? What is that thing that they are afraid of? I wonder.
Wrote to J to invite him to a movie on Sunday. Just wish that he will not leave me in a lurch. Say yes or no. It's as simple as that. Hope he says yes, but he may just be busy studying.

If you are not trying to find him

If you are not trying to find him, then he will come looking for you. That is totally true.
Watched excised teat experiment getting carried out in the lab. It was quite interesting. Grew bacteria for future use.
Took no interest in lunch box so drove up to town to get Nasi Goreng. Yum. Window shopped for a while then moved down to university to correct and edit my introduction.
Met E in info common. He was studying for first year bio exam. The note are on the computer so you can study them.
Bought sesame paste rice ball in New Safe. They looked very yummy, but didn't end up eating them in the evening.
We won the volleyball game again against the pirates. Getting better at serving now. Very happy. J wanted to ask me out, then say that we should take things slowly. He is right. We don't even know anything about each other. I only know that he plays volleyball and rows boats. Does he study material engineering? Or does he study something else? What kind of food does he like? Is he from the H town or somewhere else? Does he have any brothers and sisters? He may be an axe murderer for all I know, although I think that is highly unlikely.
Well, maybe should just try going out to watch Batman Begins after he complete his exams.
Good luck, my fellow schoolmates.

Winter Solstice

It is Winter Solstice today. We will have a longest evening and shortest morning in the year. Mum wants to get some rice ball so we can celebrate Winter Solstice tonight.
Yesterday I grew some bacteria up for today's excised teat experiment. Drive up to university to type the introduction of the thesis. Have cold lunch.
Leave the library behind and go to city. Buy brown trousers in Jeans West because it is on sale. Borrow some trio music so can play with friends in the weekend.
M is having his first exam in programming yesterday afternoon. Hope he did well. This morning is Fuzzy's turn. Hope the professor gave out reasonable questions so people can answer them.
The excised teat experiment has been done this morning. I have grown 4 bacteria up again for tomorrow's experiment.
The lab here is getting renovated and people are moving in. Equipment and samples will come here. Dexcel is no longer renting a space in Riverlea Road.
The last volleyball game is tonight at 8:30p.m. Hope that we will do well.

United Youth Orchestra Concert

The weather is extremely good. I finished reading Star Wars: A New Hope and started reading My Best Friend by Laura Wilson. Packed up everything and drove up to the Academy of Performing Arts in university to practice for the concert in the afternoon. Forgot to bring the music stands, but the concert chamber had enough stands so not really a big worry. We practiced the beginning and ending of every song before 2:30p.m. and ate some snack before commencing.
Mr. T, mum, P and M were all there to watch and listen to our concert. Generally we did well, but had a little problem in The Sorcerer's Apprentice.
Talked to M after the concert. He will do his computer programming exam on Monday. Had been sick since Tuesday so couldn't study much. Wish him luck for today.
Watched CSI in the evening. Bruce Eiger was a very powerful man, but he was also an adult baby. He threw himself over the balcony after taking LSD. Quite tragic.
T called when we were watching Dancing with the Stars. I suggested to her that we can ask M to play piano with us. He must be really good.
All is well. Tomorrow will do the excise teat experiment. Have inoculated 60ml of BHI with Streptococcus uberis today.
