Diamonds are forever and frosts are everywhere

Good news. Ai talked with Prince and he said that he will be coming to the cocktail evening. He spent a considerable amount of money to fix the cam belt and fan belt on his car. The good thing is that they didn't break down when he was on the road so he wasn't stranded in the middle of nowhere. I am excited about this party because there's not much stimulation at work. Two of the workmates are away on holiday, and one is sick today. It's very quiet. It gives me the chance to think.
I have gotten a princess's crown to go with my dark dress. I will wear my silver stilletos with the dress, and the diamond earrings. I haven't decided what kind of hair I will wear, but it needs to be piled up. I hope it will not be so cold, but as the event will be in August, it will still be quite nippy. I will wear my cape.
I went to talk with Jocelyn in IP yesterday after work. She informed me that the party will have music that you can dance to and finger foods will be provided. I will have dinner before the party. That leaves hair and make-up undecided, and I have three weeks.
The experiment is going okay and truly we can't ask for more right now. I don't have to work this weekend so I can relax! Yay! Prince is going to snowboard on the mountain. Good luck to him. Hopefully, the weather will hold out and the sun will be shining everywhere in New Zealand. After the storm of the century, we need some good weather to recover. Saying that, we still can't avoid frosts in winter. It's so cold this morning! I had to defrost my car windows.

Princess

It's so cold and windy today. I am not going to wear a skirt tomorrow, and I shouldn't have worn one today!
There are still so much work to do. I am feeling the pressure right now, but as the prince has said: just take it easy and relax! I hope that I will be able to do that. It's just impossible because I feel that this is not going to last very long. I am going to seriously consider my options now.
I have completed what I have to do in the afternoon, but as my boss has given me something to do tomorrow, I had to ask Prince to come and help me move some heavy stuff. He was glad to get away from the computer. It must had been very boring to write his report whole day. I am sure that he will finish the report soon. There's only so much you can do. He's still sick, and I gave him some advice about what to eat. He might have ignored me completely, but we managed to get all the heavy things moved into the lab. I also asked him to start an experiment for me since he's so free. By the time I left, he was staring into space at his desk. It was kind of funny seeing him doing that. I wonder what he was thinking.
The topic during tea break in the afternoon was about cars. I guess everyone who has a car in New Zealand must get it to pass Warrant of Fitness, and no matter how new your car is, it will have some faults. There was belt trouble, rust, tyre indentation problem, brake pipe holes, and whole lot of other problems with our cars. How can you deal with them all? The garage charges you because you have failed the WOF, and I guess that's how they make money.
I truly hope that everything will get better in the future because it is not looking very bright at the moment. Maybe I will be fortunate enough to finally become a real princess and not have to work. No, let me rephrase that, I hope that I will be fortunate enough to have a stable job that pays well so I can work on becoming a nice lady. The princess part is a given, because all girls were born princesses!

Once there were five girls in Rotorua

We have finally left our little town, Hamilton, and ventured out to the big wide world. After a week of wet weather, Saturday turned out to be the best day of the week, with no cloud in sight, and a slight breeze, we had finally been blessed with good weather.
We had so much fun in the car. In order to occupy our vocal cords, we sang songs until our heads start to ache. We sang the Barbie song from Aqua, Dr. Jones song from the same band, Savage Garden songs, Ricky Martin, and many more. The coconut song was so funny! I love it.
We had car trouble, but everyone we asked yesterday reassured us that it's going to be fine.
The car past through the green tunnel, then we arrived at the best stop in New Zealand. The ice cream idea was abandonned because we were too cold, we had pies and filos for lunch instead. We talked about men, like which nationality and what kind are better, and also about getting married and divorced. I felt a bit like watching Sex and the City all over again.
The emu was very friendly, I fed it some grass. It was not afraid of me. I am so happy!
We got to Rotorua township eventually after filling up gas, tyres, scare of air conditioning making funny noises, and the fiasco about engine oil. Ruth was waiting there in the Information Centre all by herself. We had blonde moments when trying to find the information centre, and trying to find a park close to it proved to be a challenge since there was many car in the weekend in town. We started hugging one another just in front of the crowd. They must thought we are some kind of crazy people and we didn't care. We found that we didn't have to pay for parking after all! Oops, but we already put 50 cents into the machine. How silly!
We drove to Lake Rotorua. It was so beautiful! We took crazy funny pictures there, looking seriously calm and collected as a result. You wouldn't believe how loud we were. There was a fair, and I saw my workmate Murray walking with his wife when we drove off to the Gondola.
Fuzzy, Ruth and I had so much fun on the luge. The way down is just as magneficient as the way up. I saw the lake in full view, and the town was pretty, too. It must be because we weren't travelling with our parents, and I could forget about work completely. We were so carefree! I was scared of heights, and the gondola stopped in mid-air. Everyone was a bit freaked out.
The spa was very relaxing, and the view was worth a million dollars. We rented a private spa so nobody can see us. It was warm and steamy, smelt of sulphur. My muscles were completely relaxed. I watched the seagulls and the stars in the sky. They were so beautiful.
The girls made a decision to have BK. We pigged out on burgers and chips and deserts. It was such a nice ending of a fun day. We had to open our window to prevent fogging up because there was no air conditioning. It was freezing!
I am so happy today because Rotorua has never been such a fun place and I want to go back next time.
