Ray

I took the books to Hillcrest library and the librarian was really friendly. She advised me to re-issue The Falcon at the Portal, and I borrowed two more books by Elizabeth Peters. They are all due on 4 January next year when the library open again.
We chose The Merchant of Venice to watch in the evening, but the DVD is broken so we watched Ray. It was a movie about Ray Charles the jazz/country pianist who was blind. His mother was not educated so she had to wash sheets to earn a living. His brother was killed when he fell into the washing basket. Ray slowly turned blind when he was seven. His mother taught him that he had to learn how to live even though he is blind. He was later sent away to school for the blind to learn how to read and write.
I like his music, but his lifestyle wasn't very good. In the end, he went to the rehabilitation centre to quit drugs. He is determined then.
It is a good movie. The music is great.

Boston Legal

He is annoying. He is funny. He talks fast. Yes, Alan Shore is the lawyer in Boston Legal. You just can't help to like him even though he is fat and old and not so hunky looking. He is the guy you love to hate.
I have watched my first episode of Boston Legal and it is really good. I think I will continue watching it next week. Switching to channel 2 in the end, I discovered that they are airing the re-run of Lost. Wish they will air the new Lost episodes soon. Just want to find out what is going on the island, what has become of the people on the boat, and find out who the other group of survivors are.
We had a big storm outside at work. Thunder, rain, wind, it was very loud. We haven't had a storm for a while.
Like Fuzzy said, this is the last month of this year. I am trying very hard to deal with the results. Just wish that they are more informative and not like puzzles. Better get back to them now.

Christmas concert at lake

We borrowed some DVD from White Angel's mum in the weekend. Actually took a walk to her house after dinner, it was good exercise. We came home and tried to watch Shark Tale, but the DVD wouldn't run in the middle of the movie so we had to give up watching it.
Fuzzy's friends came to play monopoly on Saturday morning. They were both well and happy. We went to Pizzahut to buy two pizza for lunch.
I have finished reading "Seeing a large cat" by Elizabeth Peters. It is a good book.
We went to the Christmas in the lake concert but only stayed a while. Listened to "All I want for Christmas is you". It is my favourite Christmas song. Heard the fire works going off.
American Pie was on TV again. My favourite was Oz, and of course, Jim. He is so funny! I like Oz because he is very serious about his girlfriend. Next week will be able to watch American Pie 2.
It is raining now. The weather this week is not looking so good, but I guess it is good to farmers because they need rain. Not too much rain, though.
