There's something wrong with the internet connection so I published the last article quickly before I get disconnected.
There are a lot of modifications that I can do, but on Monday I will have to run a series of distilled water experiments so I will be able to find that repeatability.
Talked to P, Smallcow, H, and Tofushark. They are all great. I wish they are having a nice Chinese New Year.

Work very hard
I can't remember how many experiments I have run, but I know that I haven't run 5 at the end of the day. I probably have ran 4 x 6 experiment, minus 5, that's 19 experiments in total. I will try to reduce the number of experiments that I will run, and only do dilutions next week. It takes far too long and too many plates. I have already reduced the number of plates by doing a drop plate method, but that still needs a bit of modification after the plates are read.
The weather is extremely good right now and the cicada is singing merrily outside my window. These few weeks we have seen real summer weather: hot, dry, and no rain. It's a long awaited summer, but farmers are worried that the grass is not growing so well. In the beginning of the summer, it rained a lot so the grass grew really well. However, because there is no rain for about 6 weeks now, the grass doesn't grow as well as before. Even if it grows, it doesn't contain the right nutrients for cows to graze.
I will go to work on Saturday to take out the plates and put them into the fridge, however, I don't think I can do much before Monday because I need to put the ozone generator back into the fume hood. My throat is damaged again. I don't think it's a good way of running my experiments.

Found calculator forgot drink bottle
I found my calculator underneath my car seat. So great! I can finally use it to calculate a lot of things. I nearly lost my mobile phone, but discovered that it is on my desk. I forgot to bring my drink bottle.
Today was pretty busy. I ran a series of experiments invovling adding ozone to water for 1 minute. However, I have to add to different concentrations of bugs so each bottle takes 1 minute. I have to add ozone to 16 bottles of bugs. Haha, this will take much longer as I increase the addition time.
I have a stab at collating the ozone results. Very good. But I will draw a graph of all the ddWater results tomorrow so I can show my supervisor on Monday. Hope he will be satisfied when he sees the whole picture.
Work supervisor will not be back until the 22nd. Renew all my library books to 11 March so don't have to go back. Will check my university library books due date now so will not have any fines or get into trouble.
So tired after today, even though only did 1 part of the experiment. Is growing overnight broth to use for tomorrow. Maybe will have worse results because starting concentration is much higher, but am not going to think too hard before getting any results.

Talk continue
I was talking about how my day went, which can be found in my blog. But I still think that we love to diss K about his weird behaviour. I don't know why we do that. For example, we laughed at him because he always walk a lonely road, and stick his head into the refrigerator when it's too hard, has a pair of small eyes, too short, too thin, and generally too weird for our liking. Hahahahaha. Also, we talked about the famous guy who has two pieces of gum stuck to his shoes, so funny.
Fuzzy talked about her day as well, but only loosely because she didn't go out. She said that the person who came to fix our neighbour's bathroom looked very suspicous and wanted to steal from our neighbour's living room. We don't like the neighbour on our right hand side because their cat keeps making our garden dirty. They keep parking their cars in front of our drive way to block it. Summer talks happened so fast
The four of us always talk in the evening now. We talk about what happened in the day time, and laugh together.
Mum and dad went to Mr. Wong and Mr. Ma's houses. Dad enjoyed an afternoon of talkathon with Mr. Ma's son, whose name they still don't know after three hours of intensive discussion about how to make a bomb. That's the favourite topic of my dad. I am so bored with it. Guys love making bombs as if it is the ultimate toy. He also said that the guy asked all the different questions to other people. Well, because you have told the story so many times, I don't want to know how to make rods and how to assemble things together then blow many people up. Technically, the whole bomb thing is a big achievement, but the thing is that now it can kill many more and is not so "dirty" like the Little Boy they sent to Hiroshima. Great news to the environment but bad news to the people who live on the land that receives the bomb. It's all good to talk about it. And why not? We know how to make the bomb. You can't do anything about it, really. There's no harm in knowing, but there's harm in doing like Mr. Bush.
I know, I know. I am so typical. I am in the bandwagon of Bush bashing. I will try to avoid that because Bush hasn't done anything wrong. For the benefit of American people, he has done very well. He has secured a new oil source in the Middle East, re-ordered the situation there, and made life a living hell for the citizens of Iraq. He has also made the life of American people more entertaining by watching news of their fellow countrymen die, and enjoy a lower petrol price. Why not? Bush is great so why should anyone do Bush bashing? Also, the economy is on the rise, everybody is making money. Brad Pitt and Jennifer Anniston are divorced so we can all have a go on trying to be Brad boy's girlfriend. The world is a better place now. More than ever. We should be contend about our life and be happy.
Apart from talking about bombs, not many things happened. They found out Mrs. Ma was a nurse and came from Hunan province. Her husband is a Hui and came from Shin-chung. They are both very nice people. I love talking to her. She is very cool and pretty. She has the "Dove" face.
They then went to Mr. Wong's house. Dad knew Mr. Wong's father, and we know Mr. Wong's grandson. Very interesting. Their son was at home on the computer, but he wasn't really typing or doing anything, just listening to my parents and his mum talking to one another. He is like that, always very quiet then say something extraordinary. Very strange. Maybe it's because he is very smart?
Anyway, Mr. Phong called three times and started to make conversation with me. He thought he talked to my sister for three times. Yes, that must be it. He has a very young voice. To my understanding, he must be around the same age as dad.
Doctor called and said that she has time next Thursday. I talked too much on the phone, and asked what she did in Dunedin. She will take her boyfriend to watch the movie with us. I have texted Purple Skirt about this. She came home late so now I will text her after 10 a.m.
My mobile phone has no battery now, so it will be recharged for a while. In the meantime, I should go and fix this gas line problem so I can grow some more bugs up today. Or maybe I will be naughty and just grow the bugs without the gas anyway.
I am afraid of gas fires.
Feeling very bad about writing about Bush, maybe tomorrow FBI will knock on own's door and label us "BAD" on the front door. I wish it will not come to that. Haha.

Lazy day
I haven't been doing experiment for 3 hours now. I will go back around in five minutes and rush through my exp. I wish that I will be able to finish around half pass five so can go home. I will swim with my sister then.
What did I do this morning? I turned my alarm clock so didn't wake up late. Cuz I woke up late yesterday morning. Haha. Rush to Dexcel to pick up my dissolved oxygen meter, then go up to university to give it back to my friend, who is a technician in the university.
I come back to do the first part of my experiment, which is diluting and growing the bug, then in two hours time I dilute and spread plated all the plates. Now I will cut small squares and dip them in water that's ozonated. Then I will put the squares on the plates with growing bugs. This shouldn't be too hard. Actually what I am doing is no secret. I did this in my undergraduate study.
Meet up with Purple Skirt and the guy in black shirt. He wore a white shirt yesterday. Very stylish. Haha. Very funny. We went to lunch after he complains about dirty shoe with gum at the sole. (Yes, this is the right spelling?) Was thinking of using word Bottom: underside, button: on clothes that have pretty colour and can be "bright". Stupid English word, can never spell the correct one.
Leave university after talking rubbish and generally joking around. Enter K Mart and have a bowl of cold noddles there. Very tasty. Not too expensive. Maybe will go back next time and take sister and mum.
Purple skirt printed her photo in city centre, and I bought a brown short skirt from Lippy which is one sale. It costs less money than the one she bought. Hmm...interesting. Guy in dark shirt didn't buy anything, just complain again about being very hot.
Come back to university and buy new stamp (5 cents x 4). He gave me a 40c stamp. Very cool. I give him all the other stamps that cost 35 cents. Not too bad lah. Anyway, still end up not having any 45 c stamps. Hmm...but I can always go to Badder Street to buy stamp ah. Haha.
Am going back up to Dexcel now. So lazy.

Party....Party hard....Party to the MAX
Yes. It's that time of the year again! It's the end of the Chinese Year, and welcome to the Year of Rooster!
We send away the old year with a nice party, and get stuck in with the new one. Dad organised the whole event so he had to leave the house around 1:00p.m. in the afternoon. He took two of his friends to help him put up the decoration and the sound equipment. My sister is having a small get-together when we are partying in the city. I believe both of her friends came and they had a great time. ^^
I started cooking right after having breakfast. Potato salad it is. I am getting better and better at making it. 2 kg of potato boiled in salt water for 20 minutes. Chop/slice: 2 onions, 2 apples, cucumber, 200g of ham. Stir: 6x2 olive oil, 2 table spoon of wine vinegar, pepper, salt, 2 egg yolks, chopped onion, and 250g of cream from Pak'n Save. Stir the cream into the potato and other ingredient. Cover with gladwrap and refridgerate.
Mum made curry spaghetti and Chinse cabbage. We all got our beauty sleep before 5. Mum had to make dad and his friend sandwitches because they may be hungry after all the work.
I put on "Brown" make-up. It's supposed to be yellow to go with my skirt, but my eyes end up looking a little bit on the brown side. Sister's friend show up early and said that my cheeks are very pink. So I end up looking pink instead of yellow. Haha.
Mum and I leave the house five minutes before 5. Doing pretty well. Meet up with purple skirt. She is wearing a nice pair of butterfly earrings! Very pretty. Her black number is very suitable for the occasion. Stylish. Tofushark and her boyfriend are also dressed nicely. She wears a green undershirt and a white top. Jeans, expensive jeans.
It took the whole hour for us to take them to see the displays put up by the sewing class and some artwork related to the New Year. Some of the VIP just want to sit and wait for the celebration to start. Fair enough. It's so warm inside. The stilted air is choking everybody. The only habitable place is where we prepare for the performance.
Such a shame that I missed most of the piano performance, but apprently the guy sounded better than the girl. Anyway, I think it was a great thing that people were playing music at the beginning of the party. Just hope that people would respect the player and quiet down.
Dinner is exquisite. I love all the food. Party goer crowded around the table with food, but not much else happened. Dad commented that some young girls were really loud in the party. I didn't notice, too busy eating and talking to purple skirt and doctor.
Doctor is doing general medicine for her internship. Her brother is studying double E in Auckland University. She will be in one place for three months until the end of her internship. Got her mobile number now so we may get together sometimes.
We can always organise a movie outing for purple skirt, H, H's brother, doctor and doctor's brother. That's only if we can all find a suitable time when noone is busy. That's gonna be hard. However, I am sure we can find a time before 12 Feb. H is going to leave NZ for OZ on the 12th.
H seems to be enjoying the time of his life. He's got a girlfriend and now is living with his parents for the New Year period. Purple skirt is trying to get into real estate business. She will partner with K. They may get into Ray White.
We didn't get any prizes. However, even if we did, we would give the prizes out for other people to draw.
So tired after the whole thing. Nearly fell asleep on the sofa. Mum didn't know that dad put his keys in jeans and I transported back home before dad could start the car.
At the same time, sister noticed that our young neighbour was naked in his bedroom. Not wearing a shirt. @_@ Haha. Very good view from where she was sitting.
Leave house, give dad his keys. Come home and talk for an hour. Happy. Sleep until this morning.
