The weather was great yesterday. The sun came out and I heard that people on the mountain were having lots of fun skiing. I am glad that I am going away to enjoy the deep white powder for the weekend. Dad and mum have already warned me not to break anything so I can go back to work on Monday, and believe me, I will be careful. I have heard lots of horror stories about accidents. It is slippery. It is dangerous. Just try not to fall down too much is good enough for first timer, I guess. No matter what, I am not going to let them dampen my spirit. I am looking forward to spend some time relaxing and having fun!
I went shoe shopping and found a pair of boots suitable for motorbike. It was not easy to find all the accessories to go riding, but I enjoy riding with K immensely. This pair of leather boots was on display so they didn’t have a box, and I don’t need a box anyway. I rushed out of the shoe shop because it was closing, paid for parking and left city to go home.
I thought dad was going to use the trailer so got everything out of the car. He asked me to help him put on chains for the car, but none of them fit. We tried the short one and the long one, and pushed the car forward and backward for a few times. It was not so heavy because I was pushing the car with dad. However, the gravel parking space was not exactly flat so the car slipped backwards a few times. It was funny! I wasn’t even pushing the car and the car moved. It just showed that momentum is very powerful because car is heavy.
K came just on time to pick me up at home. I had to slurp down the herb and spice noodle, which was delicious. I should ask mum to make herb and spice noodle again if we can get the package from New Save or something.
We waited in the dark for K's workmates. The Quiz Night started with some spot prizes questions. It was a great night, I had lots of fun, K answered a lot of questions about computer and movies, and I answered questions about math. It’s interesting to see how much people actually know about trivial stuff. You will be amazed by what you know without even thinking about them. I think winning or losing doesn’t really matter because we have worked hard and had fun.
K and I went to his place after quiz. It was a cold night. I think he’s enjoying his new life, and I am enjoying it, too. I don’t know how to describe my feelings anymore because they are quite intense sometimes, which scares me, but in other times I feel extremely safe and calm. K calms me because he’s methodical and doesn’t rush through things like I do. I also think he’s very gentle and thoughtful.
I have packed up all my stuff to bring to the ski trip before going to sleep. We still need to get food, beanie for K, and chains on the way to the mountain. I have to remind K to bring camera, but I think he knows already.
