Greatest weather

We have sunny weather today! Went out and buy some grocery from Bin Inn in east. Tandoori powder smells so good. We will make some five grains rice because we are trying to eat healthy food. Suspected that I saw M driving the car after lunch but it may not be him. Also, mum took me to Caroline Eve and splashed out again. Bought 1 nice long jacket and 1 pair of pants for sport use.
Tonight is the concert. I will try my best to perform. A little bit nervous but not really. Those songs are not too difficult and sound nice. Wish that my friends will like them.
The dog park has a big get-together today as well, we walked there and watched a while.

Concert tomorrow

Today I went to watch Bewitched with Nichole Kidman and Will Farrell (I don't remember his name, correct me if I am wrong). It is a great movie.
The internet connection is not so stable so I will cut a long story short. I went to practice cello tonight as well for tomorrow's Korean Music Festival in Academy of Performing Arts in the university. Hope we do well! Welcome to come and listen, it starts at seven in the evening.

Treat yourself better Wednesday

I know I shouldn't eat Nasi Goreng, but I can't help eating it this afternoon. The delicious beef, the aroma of the curry rice, the tasty chicken, and the BBQ pork is just devine. I know I should eat more vegetable and fruit, and I am doing that, but I can't resist the lure of the delicious Nasi Goreng. I hope that I will be able to resist it next time.
I have been busy running experiment whole day. This is the longest one that I have set up to date. I have done half the experiment in the morning, and the other half in the afternoon. Mum and Fuzzy are watching The Island today, and we have lunch in town together.
I park the car in Girl's High, then walk back to it. Fuzzy has bought two skirts that are on sale. They are both stunning.
In the afternoon, I go home early after I have done all the experiment. Takes mum to the supermarket before five o'clock. There are so many people there. We are all trying to get on diet so we didn't buy junk food.
It is getting colder in the evening. I pratice three songs that I am going to perform this Saturday for half an hour on cello. Finish cleaning myself before Grey's Anatomy starts. Mum is writing to aunt and dad. Dad has got an e-mail account in yahoo. Great! We can write to him as well. He is finally a modern man.
Christina is pregnant with a baby with Dr. Burke. Meredith is trying to get to know Derek better, but he is being evasive. They help a man who fell after rock climbing and broke his back. However, MRI and Cat scan don't show anything so Derek is going in blind. They find the bleeding point and save his life.
George can't intubate a patient and nearly kills him, however, the second one he does with a flair. He gets to date a hot nurse with red hair.
Alex finds a bovine valve for a Jewish girl who does not want a pig valve in her heart. Dr. Burke is furious about Alex not consulting this option with him. Burke has to be assisted by another surgeon who has done the procedure, and Alex gets to scrub in for this procedure.
Izzy takes care of the psychic guy who is actually afraid that he will lose his ability to know everything after the surgery in his brain. She calls her mother up after successfully making the muffin with the guy's help.
Christina takes a breast cancer patient who is pregnant. She has to face termination of her baby and chemotherapy. In the end, she doesn't want to go ahead with it, and wants to die after the pregnancy. This gives Christina something to think about before the D&C she scheduled for her baby.
Grey's Anatomy is about decisions this week. I guess everyone has to make a decision, and they are never easy to make.
Numb3rs is about Charlie trying to help Don to find a counterfeiter who kidnapped an artist to draw for him. There is a hidden message on the money and it tells them where to look for her. It is a great episode where Charlie finds out that Don had a girlfriend called Kim when he is sad about his mother's death. Charlie is learning a lot about his brother and the time that he lost when he was sad.
I really like these two TV programs. Charlie is so geeky, yet so cool. Don is so handsome and so able. Meredith and Derek has that chemistry between them. Derek also tells her that he has four sisters, and likes the band The Clash. He has a piece of land and lives in a trailer because doesn't know what to build on it. Interesting, eh?
I treat myself with nice food and hope not to gain too much weight from Nasi Goreng...

Volleyball Tuesday

I have run the gas exposure experiment this morning and all is well. Play volleyball for the final for work and lost the game, but it was a great game! We had lots of fun. Went home early because finished experiment early and put all plates into the incubator.
Dinner is great, we drank beef potato carrot soup. Had bread on top of that. Talked to funny K for a while about eating healthy food. Have lots of fruit is the way to go! They are sweet and tasty.
Played volleyball again in the evening for university engineering club. We lost the game, but would probably still came second or third this time. J hurt his foot, should write to him to see if he is better or not.
So many things to do today as well, but the experiment is not hard. I have done it before, just different dilutions today.
Watched Without a Trace. The story will continue next week.

Perfect Monday

I can't believe it's Monday again! Grow the bacteria up in the 2ml BHI broths and collect all the results in one Excel file is fun. Our group will have a meeting next week so I am trying to put the results in one file and present them together. Do not know whether it will work or not.
Drive up to university to catch up with Fuzzy. Is a little bit worried about how she is, but she is fine! Meet with cousin who had recently got married. She is very happy! Her husband will come back to Taiwan for Moon Festival. It's great! Save money for her to go over to China.
Everything went according to plan, but the power went out in university and thought it was my fault. Whew...it wasn't. Fortunately nothing was destroyed and files are all intact.
Watched Desparate Housewives and Tomorrow Never Dies. Great movie and drama. Fun and games.

Party

My friend is leaving New Zealand and going back to TW to work there. We organised a party on Sunday to give her a send-off in her house. Her brother is also there. Nine people were there to talk, joke, eat, drink, and listen to music. We were so high!
Fuzzy and I were the first there. We bought pizza from Pizza Hut that's closest to our house. Mum brought one back home and had three pieces. She must have been lonely at home! I should have just taken her along with me.
Dr. arrived after us. She is looking as good as ever in her purple top! So cute. Very busy at work and is going into surgery all by herself now! Cool. She had taken the knife by herself for the second time. I told her that in that room you know the most and you must know more than any other person in that room! That should give you more confidence in the matter. She is working in the plastic unit in Waikato Hospital right now. Sounds very challenging and she said she came back very tired everyday.
Fuzzy's classmate and her boyfriend arrived next with funny K. They all brought muffins! Yummy, yummy. The host also made marcoroni and cheese. So tasty! Tummy is slowly filling up with nice pizza and drink. J arrived last after dancing practice. We all talked about new movies that are being released: Sin City, The Island, Bewitched, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and many more. Sin City is a well designed movie with intertwined story lines. It involved man eatting, possible decapitation, superman who never dies even though he has been hit by a car because this is comic book etc. Frank Miller drew it in the 70's and now he is making it into a visual extravaganza. If you want to watch a movie, then you probably will be disappointed because it may not have the greatest hook, but if you want to go in a designer's point of view, then you will love it. The color, the gore, the women and the men...they are living in the Sin City. What would you expect? Peace and quiet?
The Island I have seen. It is a nice movie that is probable yet full of sadness. The exploitation of the clones are foreseeable. If you want to clone yourself, would you let the other run amok in the world somewhere else, waiting to take your identity? No, of course not. The one clone who is smart enough to escape learns the truth, and that is all it takes to bring the whole operation down. If you want to live, then you will do anything to survive that that is what Lincoln had done. Love and hate, selfish and selfless, greed and injustice are all in this film. I particularly remember the hunter who helped Lincoln in the end because he was also branded when his country was taken over. No one wants to be imprisoned against their well, and no one should be. Freedom is important. I like that film a lot.
Harry Potter is what everybody is waiting for. Nice books, enjoyable films, and we are just confused about the characters! Haha. So funny. Who is that red haired friend of Harry Potter? He does have one...I thought it was a girl...what? I don't get it, okay, we will let you off.
Fuzzy went home with her classmate early. We stayed and talked some more, listened to the CDs Dr. brought. She has the songs from Shrek 2, The Simpsons, and Black Eye Peas.
Dr. said that when she went on the roller coaster, she was wearing a pair of shoes without soles. We all cracked up laughing because how can shoes not have soles? That would be radically cheaper to make! The host was going to inform her previous company so they can save the production cost!
If she is going back to TW, then she should open a company called "Keni" and the slogan should be "Don't do it!" (Just do it for Nike). There will be no liability because we told you, "Don't do it!" Haha. So funny.
Also talked about going to the abattoir. Ooohhhh....yuck yuck, but it wasn't so bad.
We had so much fun, almost didn't want to go home, but time flies and everyone had to wake up early and go back to reality tomorrow morning. It's the holiday for university students, but I still have work! However, I am so much happier today. I am 100%.

Shopping therapy for broken heart

I don't feel sad anymore! Cried last night, but feel heaps better when wake up this morning. Couldn't sleep because someone texted Fuzzy around 1 in the morning. Gosh! So late and not sleeping is making me mad. However, it is not all for nothing. I write down ideas that I have about what I should do next week. That's a lot accomplished.
Today I went to shop first thing in the morning, that's even before any shop is opened. Warehouse first stop, bought one top that is so pretty that I can't resist it. Go on to the shops that are opened. Bought one top from Stax. Pretty starry number that I can put on tonight. In the end, I tried on two pants and one skirt in Caroline Eve and bought them all.
Tonight I will go to a farewell party. Hope everything goes well. Fingers crossed that I won't be sad.
