Follow a chicken and taking photo of a turtle

I told Fuzzyslowmo about following the mechanical chicken and taking a photo of the turtle in World of Warcraft. She reckons it's pretty funny, and I think it's hilarious, too. She's having a holiday at home, enjoying the summer and writing her report (mostly holiday).
It's the first full moon on lunar calendar, Shang Yuan festival today. Dad and mum were looking at the moon last night and said that it looks as good as the moon in Midautumn Festival! That's also called the Moon Festival. It's a bit weird to have glutinous rice balls now because it's not cold like when we were in the Northern Hemisphere, but I do miss the taste of a good glutinous rice ball. There are seasame, peanut, and red bean flavoured rice balls to choose from, and you can even make savour ones. Some people have rice ball soup that has vegetables, meat, and salt, it's a bit strange for me. I prefer the sweet ones. There are also pink and white ones if you like different colour rice balls. You can also cook the rice balls in water, then put them in peanut powder as dry rice balls. Yum.
Steve is having his holiday in Brisband now. Have fun! By the way, the Minister of Agriculture is visiting next week and he's coming in a helicopter. We have to be careful not to go into the helicopter landing zone in front of the Tower Block. It's funny how he is going to arrive in a flash helicopter when farmers are struggling for the draught in Waikato. Is it going to be good publicity, or is it because he can see how the draught is affecting Waikato better in the helicopter? I hope the later is true, but I think he's just having fun riding in the helicopter! After all, we as the taxpayers have to pay for his helicopter ride. Hope you will have fun, Minister, whether he does something useful or not is a whole entirely different matter.

Feralas

Luke and Effervesence are both level 46 now. We travelled to Feralas to do quests there, hunting down sea sprays and giants. We also attempted to follow the chicken, and failed the first time because the chicken did not attract the gorillas on the road.
Darnasus is a beautiful elf town, with Asian buildings and a bear as bank. There are lots of trees, streams, and even wisp of spirit floating around. It's a pleasant place to be. Theramore Isle is also quite interesting, normally not crowded with people, quiet and pretty little town to visit. You can swim to the mainland from the north easily.
I got quests from Nigel's Point and Desolace for Mauradon. There are three quests you can do, and it was difficult to kill anything there because it's a huge place. Yodah went with me and I died three times.

Roses are a loving memory

Richard and I went to get a rose tree from Wairere Nursery on lunchtime yesterday. I was excited about getting the rose, and we went to Mitre 10 Mega and the Warehouse to find pots. I found a blue pot that is decorated with leaves and Richard got another one (navy blue/dark blue) for free. We also found the dishes that will go underneath the pots. We walked in Mitre 10 Mega for exercise and got potting mix in the garden section. I spent some time looking at other beatiful flowers in the section, enjoying the garden that the shop created for a while. The bronze statues were quite interesting to look at, too.
Richard planted the rose into the new pot after we got home. He straightened the roots out, which will help their growth, and watered the potting mix once he put them into the pot. There are about twenty flowers on the tree still so we have our growing rose in the garden now!
Bevan proceeded to pick the zucchini in the garden. We believe that we can sell them to the porn stars and they can make very suggestive movies about the massive plants. Those zucchini have grown into marrows so according to Bevan, they don't taste so well. I think they look fine, but I don't know whether they are good to eat or not. Maybe they have to pick the young zucchini when they are smaller so they taste better? I have no idea. However, when you are growing plants, you always want to grow it until it's big and juicy, don't you? You don't really want to pick them when they are normal size. I guess that's the problem here.
I wonder how the roses are looking now, must check them out when I get to Richard's place.
The girls went to have lunch using the vouchers that we won from the 10,000 steps challenge. I have a chicken fillet burger with pineapple juice, it was tasty but not so big. It's a healthy meal! I think this is probably the only restaurant in Hamilton that serve meals that you can eat without feeling guilty. Good choice from work, they certainly know where to go when it comes to healthy eating. Healthy workers means healthy profit for the company, and happy workers means loyalty and satisfaction at work.

A spooky night

I was lying in bed trying to sleep last night. After the weekend down in Taranaki and hanging out on the beach, I was pretty tired. I also felt quite sad about not being able to fit into my dark skirt so before going to bed, I put it on to reassure myself that I can wear it. I have the fear of not being able to fit into my clothes if I get too fat. I hate that feeling.
It was pretty late and quiet when I finally decided not to lose weight at eleven o'clock in the evening, although I believe that I can at least do some exercise before I sleep. Before I fell asleep, I heard the sound of metal lid falling to the ground, and I heard footsteps in our backyard. That was pretty scary. I was frozen stiff on my bed even though it was not cold at all. I grabbed my wooden stick and eventually got myself together. I turned on the light and looked up and down the corridor to check whether anyone is in our house or not. There was no one there. There was nothing there.
I called out to mum and dad, and they were fast asleep. It was natural to feel a bit stupid after all that panicking and fear so I went back to bed, with stick beside me on the bed, I turned off the light and looked at the windows and door in the dark for a short time before falling to sleep.
I still feel pretty sad about being fat, but I guess this is a phase. I can hardly eat my lunch. Steve's morning tea shout was pretty good so I had two muffins, but I know that I will have to lose weight somehow. Why can't I just be skinny like everybody else? Some people aren't even trying to be skinny.
All the roses that Richard sent me had died. They look pretty sad on my desk. I guess I will have to say goodbye to them for now. On the bright side, Richard and I went to get "Loving Memory" from Wairere Nursery out of town. We have a red rose tree now! Yay!
I just hope that I am not that fat anymore.
