The Pacifier

Mrs. T bought a bread maker. She has been thinking about making some bread, but am not sure what ingredients she should put into her bread maker. This is why we are chasing down a recipe book lent to our friend, but by the end of today, we have not got it back.
Pat, M and her boyfriend have come to watch the movie, The Pacifier with us in the afternoon. Fuzzy has to work in the morning. A lot of people are at the theatre, and we thoroughly enjoy the family movie. It is a funny movie about a soldier taking care of five teenager/children in Plumber residence. He has to deal with rebellious teenager who are late to school, has a boyfriend who will climb the wall to meet her, and a boy who does not really want to be on the wrestling team. Lulu, the girl's guide, is weak and timid when the boy scout comes to trash her cookie stand. Lt. Sean Wolfe teaches her moves that are more than adequate to deal with these rogue boys, directs The Sound of Music, and orders Zoe's friends to clean up the house after an unautorised party. The villans are actually their neighbours, but in the end, the good people wins. The movies ends with the production of The Sound of Music. A very good movie if you want to sit back and relax.
I like it a lot.
We will go out tomorrow, possibly to Gisbourne. Mum will make some fried rice so dad will not go hungry. The weather is not going to be good, but we will probably be in the car most of the time so it will not matter.

Sending out invitations

I have sent out the invitations to my birthday party to my friends. This morning I have got two replies. They are both not going. Diamod storm's mum has her birthday on the same day so she will be celebrating with her mum. Cool, so I have found a birthday mate!
There are a lot of flies around in the office. Can't stand it any longer so drive up to university. Write up the ozone solubility, but is this relevant at all? Will have edit it.
Texted purple skirt, she is trimming her fringe. Leave university to go to library to give books back. Discover that I have forgotten to take Mrs. Dalloway so will need to take it from home.
Talk to Peter, loving monkey, and Frid. Frid is busy studying for his physiology test. It sounds difficult. Loving monkey has just done a big assignment so she can relax this weekend. Pete has got his citizenship, and is applying for a passport in Oz.
Start knitting this wool hat in the evening, hopefully will be complete after the long weekend. It's not too hard to knit, just take some time. Fuzzy sew a chair. Good on her.

K man's party

Meet my supervisor in the morning to plan what to do next week. However, we are going to have a long weekend and Monday is Anzac day! Cool. No work on Monday. This morning she sends us an e-mail saying we will have a meeting on Tuesday. Oh, goodie.
Go to city and have lunch there. Order beef ho fan. There are a lot of kids in the city because they are on holiday. Watch Robots with a bunch of them. It's a great movie about a robot inventor.
Fuzzy and mum have made the food by the time I get home. Talk to cousin J on MSN and she wants to come to study in New Zealand. She has to take IELTS first. Wish her study will go smoothly so she can come and study with us. I will have to tidy up the rooms so she will have some space.
Sleep, rest before the party. Take R and her sister because they don't have transport. There are already quite a lot of people in K man's house. He is making delicious pizza. The base tastes great! We eat and talk among ourselves and listen to music. Make jokes and talk serious stuff. After dinner, we cut the cake and K opens his birthday presents. He gets two model cars, poker cards, dream catcher, and cactus candle. Cool. We watch a video, and K can watch a video and play chess at the same time. Good on him.
So K is 22. Happy Birthday! Thinking about what kind of party I should have next week. Hopefully it will be an easy affair. Keep everything simple.

Meeting with William

Print out the edited thesis introduction. It still needs some tweaking, but without the book I can't so borrow it from the library. Meet William and Purple skirt in city around eleven to have lunch in Robert Harris. Will is doing good in Sydney, going to conference in U.K. in July, and another one in Europe. He has to prepare the presentation.
He also talks about a girl who he admires, but she has a boyfriend in China >_<. Too bad.
Gary and Will may move after the contract for this house is up. They don't know where they will move to yet, but hopefully closer to the university, and cheaper. He invites us to go over to do some sight seeing. I don't think I will be able to get away before completing the thesis.
Maiqing comes over to our place to visit Fuzzy in the evening after dinner. Fuzzy introduces her to the wonderful world of blogging on net. We talk and laugh together, and read the lunar calendar and some fortune telling scores in a book.
Write diary in the beautiful book I bought from Bennetts. It's covered by denim and stars. Very pretty.

Nemo's Gods and Goddesses

Work in the office in the morning, and get completely bored so drive up to university to get some action. Read the introduction to my thesis and attempt to edit it. It is going smoothly at the moment, but hasn't finish yet. I will tweak it again today.
A little bit tired in the afternoon so sleep in a corner in the library. Afterward talk to mintle, cod, and Pat. They are all well, and Pat wants to find Tween 20. Why does she need Tween 20? It is some kind of oily liquid.
It is exciting to dress up as Gods and Goddesses. Dad and mum are having a good time dressing us up as well. Dad fishes out his gun holster, and I find my fake gun. It's a perfect fit! Interesting. There is a surplus of weapons, and we are only bringing two with us. A creamy sheet over my green dress looks pretty impressive. Fuzzy is bringing the star hammers, and I am bringing my bow.
Anchi brings her car and we are picking up Robin. He takes his time finding his custume. Then we drive around trying to find the party place. It proves to be quite a task. Nearly hit a rabbit on the way, we arrive around 9:20p.m.
There are about 20 people in the house. Drinking (juice/coke/alcohol), talking, eating chips, and just sitting around. Some people dress up as cupid, and there's one guy as thor with a very cute hammer (small). It's the hammer you use for chocolate breaking. He has the norse helmet as well.
We stay until 11:30p.m. and leave. Goes back for my bow. Fuzzy now has a guy's phone number ^_^, and I confess to K saying that he is cute, approachable, talented, and lovely. What can be a better night? And also we see K's ex-girlfriend (or are they still smitten with each other?). Wish I can survive this week. Another get together is scheduled on Wednesday.

Action packed weekend

I was reading Band of Brothers in the morning, and it's an interesting book. That's probably the reason why I had a dream that I was shot at and chased on the roof top. I hadn't had this kind of dream for a long time, but it was quite scary. I don't like climbing on the roof and dodge bullets. I am not made out that way.
Fuzzy went to work for a while, mum and I were trying to pick nice clothes out to wear to our friend's honorary doctorate ceremony. Dad was the wise one, wearing a hat. We had to sit outside for almost two hours in the sun. It was very hot! However, you couldn't perform Kapa Haka indoor. It just wouldn't sound right. We couldn't understand the beaufiful ceremony because it was all in Maori, but I truly wish that our friend is happy.
After the ceremony, we had lunch in the Wel Energy Trust Academy of Performing Arts, then went home to rest. Dad and mum took our big pumpkin to our neighbour to congratulate him on receiving the doctorate. They would make a pumpkin soup.
Purple skirt invited us to have a steam pot of food on Sunday evening. She came to pick me up to shop for the food in the morning. We went to New Save, Sun Q, and Pak'n Save. You have to put finely sliced meat, meatball, fishball, vegetables, bean curd, and various other goodies into the steam pot. So we bought everything before lunch time.
Fuzzy went shopping with her friend. We had a quiet afternoon. It got a bit cold in the evening. I drove Fuzzy, Snow fly, and the R sisters to Purple Skirt's house. Pat was already there. We had a fun time putting all the ingredients in and waiting for them to get ready. Talked about many things while the window steam up. Had to open them. K was trying to make a pizza, but I discovered that his yeast is past the use by date. Quickly ran out to buy a new one, his dough is finally ready.
We played cards after dinner. Heart Disease original, and heart disease +1 -1 were both great games, but your hands would hurt afterwards. Ninty nine was a very long game, as always. Big 2 was entertaining, but not very interesting. We left Purple Skirt's house around 11:40p.m.
The weekend was action packed, did a lot of things. Two more parties to go to. Can't believe that everybody seems to be having parties.
