我的快樂 會回來的

Highlight of the day

There is no result from the experiment yesterday so I drove up to the university to see if I would meet M. I gorged down the lunch with two friends. They left around twelve o'clock. Bought a milk tea from the cabinet, wanted to buy a strawberry one but they didn't have any straws on them so decided against it.
M walked towards me from the building. I couldn't help but smile into some innocent bystanders. So happy! He is walking towards me. Haha. Needed to hide my glee.
He bought a Wave from Bongo. Complained about the expensive stationary items such as pencil leads from Bennets, the campus bookshop. They always sale unreasonable prized stuff. He called up Vodaphone for top up but discovered that the numbers had already been used (probably by himself). We both cleaned up the pockets and pencil case. The day had suddenly seen to be so much better. So much happier.
Maybe I will see him again today, even if I don't I feel happy because I have met him this week twice. He is so funny.

Drilling

Drilled a hole in the plastic container for the teat experiment in the morning. Type up the papers that I have read and leave for university in the afternoon. Had lunch with Fuzzy and her friend. The demonstration in the afternoon went better than the first time. We will get more experienced as time goes by. The students are working hard and I am glad that they are getting better as well. I have also collected the information needed for Friday's Genetics demonstration. It will be in the afternoon. I don't think I will be able to get any work done in Friday afternoon anyway.
The weather is getting warmer and warmer everyday. Spring is here. There are more sunshine and the flowers will start blooming again soon. I am wearing short sleeves clothes right now. This also means that I should work out and do sports more. On top of playing volleyball, I will get back to the gym and run in the afternoon.
Watched Grey's Anatomy and Numbers last night. The bikers are racing and getting themselves injured and killed in Chicago. Christina and Isabel get a guy who is dying from the injuries. George has a gay patient waiting for liver transplant. It is never easy to talk about organ donation to the family of the victim, but it has to be done. He is a person, Dr. Bailey tells Christina. Treat him as a person, and it will become easier for her to tell the victim's family about the donation.
Meredith and Alex are dealing with a biker called Viper. His stomach got punctured by bike spikes. The next day he came back with internal bleeding and needs to go into the theatre.
The sexual between Meredith and Derek is still high. Derek saves her from Alex's rude comments in the locker room. Who knows what will happen to these two? I think Meredith is enjoying Derek's compliments. They may get together, but that's just too easy.
Numbers is about six bank robbers "The Charm School Boys". Charlie calculated the next location of the bank that they are going to rob, but this time an agent is killed and three are injured from the capturing effort made by FBI. Don begs Charlie to snap out of the emotion turmoil after the incident, but he can't.
After some time, Charlie looks at the whole bank robbing again and deduced that they are not really after the money in these banks. They are after a bigger fish: the money that is going to get destroyed in the Federal Reserve Bank in Los Angeles. In the second attempt, Don and Co. capture the robbers successfully.
I enjoy watching these drama because they show how human we are, how emotion affect the work we do, and how lovable we can be.

Oversea experience

Forgot to write this. Talked to K and he said he has finished his thesis. The thesis is at the binders now and wants to get away from New Zealand and have an O.E. His brother is living in Germany and probabaly will visit him there.
J is in Ireland right now studying her PhD. A is married and living in Australia. Everybody is leaving New Zealand for greener pasture. Of course one day they will come back and visit. I am sure they are all very happy about their life. I am happy for them because they are seeing so much different things and experiencing novel experiences. Driving to new places and seeing new people everyday. I wonder what that feel like.
I don't feel like having an adventure right now, but I will leave one day. I will have my chance to see the world. Just you wait.

Finished experiment?

Just heard from my friend that she has finished all her work on master's degree and will probably hand in her thesis early. So lucky! I wish that I have done everything right now, but I still have a lot of experiments to do. I think I will be able to finish at the set time, which is February next year.
I have been writing and editing my introduction today. I have drilled a hole for the plastic container that is necessary for the excised teat experiment, and come to university to demonstrate. I will carry out the suspension experiment tomorrow and talk with my colleague about new experiments to do next week. Always busy!
Cut hair yesterday. Have to remember that wants to tuck hair behind the ears next time so don't cut the front hair short.
It was mum's birthday yesterday. We celebrated by eating an ice cream Sara Lee. It was very delicious.
Won the volleyball game. We are so cool. It was great to exercise my muscles and bones.

Election

The general election date has been announced by the honorable Helen Clark. The big date is on 17 September, about two months away from today. The past two months have been filled with political wrestling anyway. Don Brash's tax policy is controversial and Helen Clark has spoken that it will mean high spending and is not realistic to the current situation. I think tax cut is unlikely and it is merely an election ploy to get more votes. Don Brash is lying, and it will take a lot of thinking and jungling from Helen Clark to deliver an even better tax policy. This race will again be a two parties race, but I do hope that Winston Peters is not the "King maker" again.
Dad doesn't like the MMP because it means that the people who you do not like may still get into parliament, but that's the way it is. You have two votes, one vote for the party, one vote for the members of parliament. That means you can vote for National Party, but vote for a Labour candidate, or vice versa. There is still List MPs, people who may not get enough votes who will still be voted into the parliament, depending on the percentage of party votes they get.
It will be a big circus to watch, I am sure. Hopefully some good people will come out and become candidates.
The experiment is going okay considering the results are what I am expecting. I will be demonstrating on Wednesday and Friday now, but the professor hasn't contacted the demonstrators yet. Trust him to organise anything. I bet he won't be organised enough until maybe Friday. Anyway, I just need the answer booklet and everything should be sweet.
Will go to the hairdresser this afternoon and that should surprise mum. It is her birthday today. She will go to the supermarket and get a icecream cake with Fuzzy. Horray! I am so happy. It is so yummy.
Watched Desperate Housewives. Quite funny.

City library and shopping

Fuzzy, mum and I went to town yesterday after we have had lunch. Dad stayed home. Fuzzy needed a 2B8 book for the lab so we went to Warehouse Stationary. I would like to buy a set of earphones but decided against it. Maybe I will ask dad to get me a set, or maybe I will compare prices around. It was not too expensive so I might come back and buy it there.
The next shopping destination was Plasticplus. Fuzzy got an automizer for her toner. It was not cheap for a small plastic bottle, but she needed it so she bought it. Mum and I went on to Briscoes to look at pots and pans. We met Tofushark there shopping. Mum suggested that she buy a new wok that is on sale. It is good quality with lid.
We went on to the library. Borrowed some interesting books including one of the book from The Chronicles of Narnia. The witch, the lion and the wardrobe was not available, but I can wait for it to become available later. I borrowed a variety of books, London romance, historical romance, Star Wars (Sci-fi), and fantasy/children books. Mum borrowed Chinese fictions and Fuzzy got a new book.
We watched Gangs of New York but because it was long, we went to bed early for university/work tomorrow. It was a better day.
