我的快樂 會回來的

Goodbye, Tofushark

It was time to say goodbye to my student yesterday. There was a cute card with bears, there was free lunch, and there was quiet talks and encouraging speeches. There were a lot of happy memories, and as we all know, all good things come to an end, and this one is going to be a good beginning for Tofushark. She is going back to university to complete her undergraduate study, and will continue to study.
I have organised having lunch in Innovation Park this Friday. There were many phone calls to the head waitress to make reservation and organise vegetarian meal. I am glad that it was a enjoyable meal, and our afternoon suddenly gets better even though it rained.
Erik wants to go windsurfing this weekend, and the weather is certainly suitable. However, there's a gale force warning in Raglan, and it will go from 20 knots up to 30 knots. It's a bit too much wind. The visibility will also be low. This front is wet and cold, and I certainly experienced it when I moved the couch and mattress from my beloved manageress's home last night.
He's trying to get his brother to join him in the sport, but it is not for the faint hearted. There's the cost of $3,000 to buy the equipment, and there's the fee for instructor, and you have to love to windsurf. I believe it is enjoyable, but it is a summer sport while there's enough wind.
Erik was going to contribute to Tofushark's leaving fund, but he didn't leave any money at the end of Friday. I will have to sort this out next week.
Yasu is going to San Francisco in July. He will be staying at Hyatt, a nice hotel, and present a poster in a conference. It will be a great trip for Yasu, and he will come back to finish writing up his thesis until December. Ai is going to cut her hair in Auckland today (Saturday), and Tofushark wants to go with her. She is going to watch Transformer there, too. What a great plan!
Kelly is going to U.S. and Canada for two weeks starting on Sunday. Miel is going to Bali for two weeks as well. I am staying in New Zealand and will be enjoying the rainy days and cold frosts. I am going to take two days off next week, and will go to Rotorua next weekend to see Ruth. I am looking forward to have some holiday, and will probably end up shopping, watching movies, reading, and putting my feet up. Should I cook something as well? I don't know, there's always lots to do at home. I want to watch Transformers, Bridge to Tarabithia and Harry Potter: The Order of Phoneix. I will have to plan it out so I can avoid watching them on Blockbuster price. It's so expensive to go to movies now.
I have written to three of my cousins to inform them our new address and phone number. I think my aunts will call because they don't use the internet. Our house is big enough to accomodate them if they want to visit, so I send out a heartwarming invitation as well. Yes, come and stay in New Zealand for a relaxing holiday. I love my new house! I am having such a good time that it's proving very difficult to leave for work now.
It's so quiet at work today. I have met two people at work already. Saturday is still a work day for the wicked. I am going to enjoy my weekend for a little while, then come back to finish what I came here to do: to work.
