The new Lemony Snicket book

The new Lemony Snicket book is called "The Penultimate Peril", in his A Series of Unfortunate Events, Book 12. This book is likely to the be the second last in the series, but we never know what will happen in the future, do we? Lemony Snicket may decide to investigate the orphans' life a little bit more and publish them.
I like solving the puzzels before this release and had a fun time trying to solve them. I have to drive up to the university because the computer at work does not have Flash program. I have to search for a computer that actually show the answers after I solve the questions. Some computers do not show any pictures! I have to walk up and down the stairs in order to find a good, trust-worthy computer to do my job for me. After three months of hard work, the new book is finally published worldwide. I will find a way to read it in due course soon.
My activity yesterday (as custom, I always blog for yesterday's events) starts without too much drama. I have virtually finished work by ten o'clock in the morning because by then I have found a suitable funnel to cover the petri dishes, I have also seeded the culture and leave them to grow in the incubator.
I leave work with the hope of doing some work in the university. I have found the book by Maurice Leblanc about Arsene Lupin. I have always been fascinated by the thief/detective because he is so evil and so good at the same time. I will read the fiction in my spare time.
I am now reading The Deed of Disturber by Elizabeth Peters to prepare my month of NaNoWriMo on mystery novel. I have put down three ideas in an e-mail that I sent to myself. I will have more ideas down the line, but at this stage I am pretty happy about the development of my thoughts.
I wish to create a sleuth who is lovable, who you can relate to, not someone who is high and lofty. I don't like that kind of person anyway. I also want to write an interesting story, an entertaining story that will capture your attention. Perhaps a little scary as well. That never hurts anybody.
I have accomplished an important job today. Feeling relieved that it is finally done and everything should be alright from now. Sometimes, you just have to say the right thing, push the right buttons, and do the right thing. It is all for the best.
After dinner I play piano. Ragtime by Joplin is great, Debussy's preludes are just too hard for me. I think I will try some other piano pieces from the university library later.
Mum and I wait for dad to come back from a bike ride to see his friend. His friend recently had twins, but when we ask dad what their names are, he doesn't know. He is always like that! Ignorant of the important facts! However, sometimes, it only takes him five minutes to find out how much someone earn a year, his/her occupation, his/her likes and dislikes. He is very strange. I guess it is because their names are in English. If their names are in Chinese, then maybe he will remember them.
Watched Without a Trace. Very good episode about a convict who will be released on parole. This type of TV program always has a twisting plotline, many times it is quite sad, the victims are in their worst situation most of the times and that's why they go missing. You have your normal share of single mothers who is too poor to buy medicine for her son. You have your teenager brainy kid who has a bright future and is unfortunate when she finds out that she is pregnant with a baby from a spring break fling. You need people who cares about the person who is missing. You need the anxious parents. You need the drug lords. You need the vicious convicts from prison. You need the wolf businessman in sheep's skin. It is an interesting program because it talks about what is happening everyday in the city, it is talking about the people who we forget. We shouldn't forget them, because they are someone's daughter, someone's brother, someone's sister, someone's grandmother. You should care.
